The Scout Troop

Your child is joining a Scout Troop. The Scout Leader runs the Troop with a team of assistants / helpers who all give their time freely and have had training to help them do an effective job. The Leaders are responsible for planning and running the programme of games and activities for Troop Meetings and special outings and other events.

The youngsters work in small groups called Patrols which are led by an older Scout called a Patrol Leader (PL) and his helper an Assisstant Patrol Leader (APL).
